We believe that access to local organic foods, a service not provided in our city of 65,000, will increase the quality of living for our citizens. Many people feel this is a quality of life issue similar to access to parks, green spaces, public lands, and cultural opportunities. High quality foods simply mean better flavors and food that is better for you. This is one of the simple pleasures in life.

It's a lot of fun sitting down to an outstanding meal made from local organic ingredients. Just knowing that you have such delicious food in the fridge makes your day a little better.

A small, full-service organic grocery store for downtown Muncie and beyond, the Downtown Farm Stand offers a great selection of meats, dairy, canned goods, eggs, and produce along with an outstanding bulk organic dry goods section. A complete grocery store selection, all foods are either produced by Indiana's finest sustainable farms and regional producers, or are Certified Organic foods, many of which are Certified Fair Trade. We also offer safe and natural cleaning products, personal hygiene and body care products, and eco-friendly paper goods.

The Downtown Farm Stand organic grocery is an LLC partnership between Dave and Sara Ring. We work hard to uphold strict sustainable organic standards and we ALWAYS support and give preference to area local sustainable and organic farmers. This store came about because Sara and I are local sustainable produce farmers and we know that area organic producers have needed an outlet to sell products locally for a long time. It is obviously difficult to sell your wares when you are excluded from area stores. We have found a solution to that problem with The Downtown Farm Stand.

Because the downtown community needs a grocery store with all of the staples, we decided to provide that service to the community by locating downtown. We are able to provide fresh healthy food to people in the inner city. By helping the downtown area to succeed, we are helping to prevent urban sprawl into rural farmland. We fill in the gaps in local sustainable production with products from companies like Organic Valley Co Op from Wisconsin and the quality company Eden Foods from Michigan. We also buy from other high quality food companies that have regional or national production that are truly upholding strict standards and paying farmers what they deserve. At The Farm Stand, you will find the largest selection of local organic and sustainable products in Indiana, along with a complete grocery store full of all the essentials.
